Vatan Plastik was founded by Mr. Behruz Vatandost in 1957 with manufacturing PVC hoses. With rapid growth in the sector in few years, company has been a leading supplier in flexible packaging with manufacturing PE film,greenhouse film and various packaging products. The first modern plant was established in 1970 in Istanbul. With growing business volume came second factory in 1983 in Istanbul too. Today production capacity for both factories is 50,000 tonnes/year with 250 people working. We use the latest technology extruders, cast lines, converters, compounding and recycling units. |
Vatan Plastik has been a pioneer since launching in the plastic sector. In 1972 we were the first to produce “thermal film” by reducing the thickness of greenhouse film from 300mic to 180mic by producing UV and IR additives and adding these in the film. With this innovative production we were able to prevent energy and temperature loss inside the greenhouses to a great extend by yielding the crop 10 days earlier than standard yield time. This has been a very advantageous innovation for Turkish agricultural sector.
In 2000 years then again with production of special greenhouse film, we have helped reduce the usage of agricultural chemicals to minimums.
Vatan Plastik has certified its quality by adapting to ISO 9001 in 1999. Being among the top 500 companies in private sector, we are now to celebrate our 50 years with no compromise in our quality.
We export 40% of our production mainly to United Kingdom , Israel and Russia Norway, Ireland , Georgia , Iran , Romania , Cyprus , Algeria, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, German, Austria , Tajikistan, Bulgaria.
